Do you offer group lessons?
Yes, we can accommodate surf lessons for groups of up to 6 people at a time. It's recommended to book at least a 2-hour lesson so that everyone in the group can receive individual one on one coaching with the surf instructor.
Is there a specific location where you provide the lessons?
In most cases, the group or individual will meet at the best-suggested beach access along Treasure Island beach by the surf instructor after booking. If you're staying at a hotel/condo/resort on the beach, and do not have transportation, we can come to you as long as there is parking provided for the surf instructor, and the location is within a 3 mile radius of Treasure Island beach or an extra $20 surcharge will apply.
Can I purchase/rent equipment?
Surfboards can be rented for as low as $30/day and can be delivered to you and picked up at no extra charge, as long as the delivery is within a 3 mile radius of Treasure Island Beach. If you're looking for a board to purchase, we suggest reaching out to your local surf shop.
What if I want to book a surf lesson but there's no surf/ waves?
No waves? No worries! If you're eager to get the "feeling" of the board and learn how to "stand up" and ride the waves with less difficulty, Magic Island can offer surf training and important surf tips for the same rate as the Beginner Instruction. A board will be provided and your surf instructor will teach you paddling and "pop up" technique so you can be 10 steps ahead of the game for when the next opportunity of waves arrive.
